Verbal Prefixes
When talking about the many different prefixes that can occur on verbs
in Mingo, it is useful to distinguish three separate groups of verbal
prefixes:
- Pronominal Prefixes
- These are the prefixes that tell you who or what is involved in a
given event, activity or state described by the verb base.
- Modal Prefixes
- These three prefixes give information about the speaker's viewpoint
on the event they are talking about.
- Prepronominal Prefixes
- This is the grab-bag category of verbal prefixes which don't fit
into either the Pronominal or Modal groups.
